The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

7:25 a.m., suspicious circumstances — Two male juveniles parked in a parking lot on Shaws Flat Road, hopped a fence and entered a “down house.”

8:22 a.m., animal complaints — A person was walking a goat on South Washington Street on a leash.

12:29 p.m., theft — An Elm Street resident believed their neighbor had been stealing water because they found a hose hooked up to a spigot.

1:28 p.m., reckless driving — A vehicle drove recklessly on Sanguinetti Road.

6:27 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man walked on North Stewart Street and threatened people with a PVC pipe.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

5:42 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on Fifth Street said she slept in her car all night and now her feet were frozen.

1:40 p.m., Jamestown — A person on Highway 108 found a BB gun hidden in a garbage bin.

2:32 p.m., Moccasin — Men attempted to push a white Camaro up Old Priest Grade.

7:51 p.m., Sonora — A Robinwood Lane resident said a mama bear came and put her nose up on the home’s sliding glass door.

10:15 p.m., Groveland — A Rolling Woods Drive resident heard something outside of his house, and when he put on his night vision goggles to investigate, he saw his neighbor’s son prowling around.

1:40 p.m., Sonora — Cheryl Joleen Brandsted, 48, of the 16600 block of Allison Way, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale and misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia and possession of a narcotic controlled substance following an arrest at her home.

9:13 a.m., Valley Springs — People were involved in an argument on Highway 26.

1:32 p.m., Arnold — Neighbors on Laurel Circle were involved in an argument over tree branches.

3:20 p.m., Railroad Flat — A person on North Railroad Flat Road was arrested for public intoxication.

6:21 p.m., Douglas Flat — A man on Highway 4 cut down street signs with a chainsaw.

11:21 p.m., Angels Camp — Private property on Riata Way was vandalized.
