The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

6:24 a.m., suspicious circumstances — Two transient people carried a large box on Stockton Road.
8:14 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman drove into a South Washington Street parking lot and fell asleep in the back of her vehicle. A person was unable to wake her, but she left the area before an officer arrived.

10:44 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman heard a woman screaming for help on Snell Street.

6:19 p.m., hazardous situation — A cable hung low along Shaws Flat Road, and a local resident believed a truck or bus would hit it.

11:12 p.m., public intoxication — Two people on South Stewart Street argued about who was sober to drive, but when the dispute turned physical, an officer arrested one person for disorderly conduct.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:33 a.m., Sonora — The lock was cut on a Old Oak Ranch Road property and a person spun donuts on a field in a vehicle.

10:54 a.m., Sonora — A riding lawn mower was stolen from a Blue Bell West property.

11:41 a.m., Jamestown — A North Drive resident found out that someone ran his credit and opened an account at Sears in Corpus Christi, Texas, in his name.

6:17 p.m., La Grange — An injured and emaciated black angus bull was seen roaming the land near Bonds Flat Road.

10:11 p.m., Sonora — A transient man attempted to break into an unoccupied trailer on Mono Way.

WEDNESDAY

5:13 p.m., Soulsbyville — Travis Joseph Young, 39, of the 800 block of Green Drive, Dixon, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence and misdemeanor charges resisting a public officer after an arrest on Highway 108.

10:08 p.m., Sonora — Tucker Daniel Barclay, 42, of the 800 block of Feather Drive, Copperopolis, was booked after an arrest on Mono Way.

9:31 p.m., Jamestown — Kristina Lea Dunn, 48, of the 18000 block of Sierra Avenue, Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of felon in possession of pepper spray and misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia and destroying or concealing evidence after an arrest on Fourth Avenue.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

1:19 a.m., San Andreas — An arrest was made on a local warrant on Foothill Court.

11:10 a.m., Angels Camp — An iWatch tracked to Albright Court misdialed emergency services.

6:46 p.m., Valley Springs — A suspicious vehicle on Vista Del Lago Drive was gone before a deputy arrived.

1:35 a.m., San Andreas — Jay David Hopwood, 24, of the 200 block of Hathaway Place, was booked on suspicion of felony probation violation after an arrest on Foothill Court.

5:15 p.m., San Andreas — Joseph Riley Bigger, 40, of the 400 block of East Saint Charles Street, was booked on suspicion of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14, continuous sexual abuse of a child and sexual penetration with a foreign object after an arrest on the first block of Main Street.
