The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Copperopolis man at a Jamestown area club Tuesday night following a report of a sexual assault against a woman inside of a travel trailer on the property.

Sometime before 11 p.m., Tuolumne County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Rosalinda’s Gentlemen's Club on the 14400 block of Highway 108 in Jamestown after receiving a report that a man living in a travel trailer on the property had sexually assaulted a woman and threatened to harm her with a knife.

The man had armed himself with the knife and held the female victim down against her will, threatening to harm her as he committed sexual battery, a Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office news release said.

The woman fought to free herself and fled out of a window to the trailer.

Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Andrea Benson said that it was unknown why the man was living on the property, and there was no additional information that could be released regarding the nature of the sexual assault or if the victim was an employee of the business.

Jesiah James Macredes, 40, was booked on suspicion of sexual battery, false imprisonment with violence and threatening crime with the intent to terrorize following the arrest at the property.

His bail was set at $25,000.

Rosalinda’s Gentlemen's Club did not respond to calls on Thursday.
