The utility that serves most Tuolumne County residents did an emergency water pipeline repair today near the Red Church on North Washington Street, residents, workers and a spokesperson for the agency said.
Word about the emergency work was distributed by Tuolumne Utilities District staff at 7:55 a.m. Wednesday. The work was completed before noon.
Lisa Westbrook with TUD public relations and customer service said the work was scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. at North Washington and Wyckoff Street. The repair site was north of that in the 200 block of North Washington.
Customers in the vicinity of the repair may have experienced little to no water during the emergency repairs. Water service was restored when the work was completed.
