The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


6:23 a.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — The ex-boyfriend of a South Barretta Street resident repeatedly rang the doorbell of her residence.

10:39 a.m., parking — A motorhome was parked in a Mono Way parking lot for two days.

1:18 p.m., trespass/loiter — Transients loitered outside of a South Washington Street business and employees asked for them to leave the area.

2:43 p.m., traffic violations — A vehicle with no plates was parked on the side of Mono Way, and inside two men sat silently while a woman cried.

11 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man in a South Washington Street parking lot yelled he was going to kill someone and made a sound as if he hit a pole.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9:50 a.m., Sonora — People were “spinning donuts” in the Belleview Elementary School parking lot after hours.

9:53 .m., Sonora — A man with a scruffy beard, ball cap, red shirt and white pants yelled at passersby and threw his bags on the ground in front of a Mono Way business.

9:57 a.m., Sonora — A woman who appeared to be drunk or on drugs fell down on North Sunshine Road while walking a dog.

10:46 a.m., Sonora — Death threats were made at a medical clinic on Mono Way.

11:21 a.m., Columbia — An Italian Bar Road resident said there have been robberies in the area and said his son saw a suspicious white utility truck in the area the day before possibly casing the area.

11:23 a.m., Long Barn — A Lakeview Drive man yelled and charged at a man working on a neighboring property. The worker pushed him and the neighbor returned to his house.

11:39 a.m., Tuolumne — A small, older lady with frizzy hair flagged down a woman driving on Cedar Street and said she had been assaulted.

12:38 p.m., Tuolumne — A man in the parking garage of a business on Tuolumne Road North was overheard saying, “We’re going to be on the news in a matter of minutes.”

3:55 p.m., Sonora — Threats were made at the Behavioral Health Department on Hospital Road.

5:18, Jamestown — Two men were seen taking items out of a grey sedan parked at a Preston Lane apartment building and placing them on the hood of the car.

5:33, Columbia — A Kennebec Lane woman said someone entered her house through a window and took “a lot of jewelry.”

5:37 p.m., Sonora — A Gibbs Drive resident saw a young man with dirty blond curly hair and wearing camo shorts and a gray T-shirt who was possibly under the influence come out of bushes and walk up the street.

6:07 p.m., Soulsbyville — A woman said a man spit on her car as he drove by her on Oman Drive.

6:12 p.m., Sonora — A large U-Haul truck was parked at a home on Curtis Circle for four days. A neighbor said the man who lives there is not moving.

6:41 p.m., Sonora — A Tinnin Drive resident said a neighbor was outside yelling and screaming and talking about shooting something.

7:19 p.m., Sonora — Three juveniles were seen destroying a canoe near the dam at Phoenix Lake.

9:13 p.m., Jamestown — People were seen possibly breaking into a Highway 108 business. The suspects left the area in a Toyota pickup.

9:39 p.m., Tuolumne — Michael Douglas Jeffreys, 37, of the 19000 block of Hillhaven Road, was booked on suspicion of battery and violation of probation after an arrest at his home.

3:46 a.m., Valley Springs — A vehicle on Berkesey Lane was burglarized.

4:08 a.m., Arnold — Yelling was heard in the area of Venado Drive regarding a bear in the area.

11:42 a.m., Valley Springs — A person on Highway 12 was arrested for public intoxication.

11:53 a.m., San Andreas — A deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 49 and asked the driver to tie down the vehicle’s load better.

4:34 p.m., Valley Springs — A juvenile on Dunn Road fired a BB gun.
