Open Garden Day set April 28 in San Andreas
The Calaveras County Master Gardeners’ Demonstration Garden will be open on from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 28.
A plant sale will be held from 10 a.m. to noon.
Activities will include discussion on irrigation systems and water requirements for different plants.
The garden is located at the Calaveras County Government Center at 891 Mountain Ranch Road in San Andreas.

Dogs to parade in downtown Twain Harte
Dogs and their owners are invited to participate April 28 in the Twain Harte Dog Parade.
Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and the parade will step off at 11 a.m. in downtown Twain Harte. Cost to enter is $5, and proceeds will benefit local dog causes.

Calaveras County Garden Club to hold annual luncheon
The Calaveras County Garden Club will host its annual Tablescape and Luncheon May 9 at Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys.
Viewing of tables, each set with a memorable theme, will begin at 10 a.m., and lunch will be served at noon. A silent auction will also be held.
Cost for lunch is $38 per person, and reservations are due by May by calling (209) 890-9277.
The Calaveras County Garden Club is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go to award scholarships for graduating high school students and to promote civic improvement through beautification of places in the county open to public view.
