For the past 12 years, the Sonora Sunrise Rotary Foundation, in a partnership with Black Oak Casino Resort, has held a gourmet dinner with local celebrities serving the guests.
One hundred percent of the proceeds from the event have been dedicated each year to a specific charitable purpose in the community. Although there is no guarantee of a specific level of funding, proceeds have ranged from $15,000 to $31,000. The past 11 events have raised $255,500.
