The Center For A Non Violent Community will honor local women at its annual International Women’s Day Fundraiser Luncheon in March.

The luncheon is set for 11 a.m. March 7 in the banquet room at Black Oak Casino Resort in Tuolumne. The 2019 honorees include Yuri Diaz, Marie Geisdorf, Laura Krieg, Jameson Patterson, Cathie Peacock, Gina Prock, and the women who founded Center For A Non Violent Community 40 years ago: Darlene Baumgarten, Pat Cervelli, Linda DuTemple, Liz Sewell and Linda Thorpe.

The event will also include a “Galaxy of Stars” showcase, which will highlight several local business, and nonprofit and civic organizations. The event also will include a silent auction and 50/50 raffle.

The luncheon is an annual fundraiser to support programs offered by CNVC, which include support services for people who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking or other trauma.

Tickets cost $45 per person and are available online at or at the CNVC main office at 19043B Standard Road, Sonora. The deadline to purchase tickets is Feb. 21.
