Randall recognized by Sonora Elks

Earl Randall was recognized recently for 25 years of cooking dinners at the Sonora Elks Lodge.

Randall joined the lodge in 1993 and has been a familiar face in the kitchen ever since.

Randall was presented a plaque from the lodge at the Elks Old Timers’ Recognition meeting on March 28.

Twain Harte SIR meet Thursday

The Twain Harte Sons in Retirement Branch 172 will meet Thursday at the Sonora Elks Lodge.

Social hour will begin at 11 a.m. followed by lunch at noon. Cost for lunch is $15.

Guest speaker will be Stu Heller, a member of the organization, who will discuss the creation of models and demos of the logging and mining past in the Mother Lode. The models are displayed a local history museums.

The lodge is at 100 Elk Drive in Sonora.

Sonora SIR meet May 8

The Sonora Sons in Retirement Branch 136 will hold its annual Ladies Day Luncheon May 8 at the Sonora Elks Lodge.

Social time will begin at 11 a.m. followed by lunch at noon at the lodge, 100 Elk Drive in Sonora. Cost for the luncheon is $25 per person.

A Stay and Play Package from Black Oak Casino will be the grand prize in a prize drawing.
