Lions Club buys lunch

The Sonora Lions recently bought lunch for students at Jamestown Elementary School. As the new school semester started in January, there were $685.45 in lunch fees not paid in the fall semester, which meant that a number of students could not have lunch served to them until their account was paid, stated a Lions Club press release, so the club paid the bill in full. Present at the check presentation were (from left): Lion Tim Atchley, Bobbie Barnum (cafeteria manager), Lion Ken Ayers, club President Joe Skaff, Lion Tom Penhallegon, Lion Wendy Penhallegon and Lion John Moyer.
