The First Congregational United Church of Christ in Murphys will hold a “Fabulous” Estate Sale today and Saturday at the church’s Fellowship Hall, 509 Algiers St., in Murphys.
The sale will include furniture such as TVs, lamps and kitchenware and other household and boutique items.
Refreshments will be offered for sale.
The sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Proceeds will benefit church ministries in the community and abroad.
The Union Congregational Church in Angels Camp will hold its annual Oktoberfest dinner, “Franks ‘n’ Steins,” Saturday at the church, 1141 S. Main St.
The Ukulele Band will provide entertainment, and there will be prize drawings and contests for yodeling and costumes. Suggested donation is $10 for adults and $5 for children.

The event will offer homemade jams, jellies, candies, canned goods along with the baked goods and many handcrafted items and gifts.
A luncheon of soups, salad, homemade pies and beverages will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost for lunch is $10 per person.
A drawing for a handmade quilt, three paintings by local artists and a gift basket will be held. Tickets cost $1 each or six for $5, and ticketholders do not need to be present to win.
All funds raised will be used to help Interfaith Community Social Services, Sonora Pregnancy Center and other local, national and international charities.

The Women’s Fellowship of the Sonora United Methodist Church will present a homemade Soup Buffet and Gift Sale Nov. 4 at the church, 90 Yaney Ave., in Sonora.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include baked goods and gifts, a jewelry from African Team Ministries, the proceeds from which will be used to help provide drip irrigation systems in Africa.
A soup buffet will include a choice of homemade soups, rolls, dessert and a beverage for $10 per person.
Proceeds from the event in general will be used for mission projects.
