The deadline for nonprofit organizations to enter Black Oak Casino Resort’s annual Community Grab for Cash event has been extended to Nov. 1.

The event, held every November, gives 10 charities and nonprofit organizations the opportunity to earn up to $5,000 for their organizations by “grabbing” it from within the resort’s cash cube. Participants have 30 seconds inside the cube to grab as much of the $5,000 in cash whirling inside as they can.

Since the event’s inception in 2004, the resort has given away more than $250,000.

To apply, organizations must submit a one-page appeal to Black Oak Casino Resort that outlines a mission statement, the organization’s size and funding needs, and the members of the community being served.
