The Women’s Improvement Society of Tuolumne hosted its annual town clean-up day in June. About 25 volunteers helped about 20 households dispose of old couches, chairs, cardboard and other miscellaneous items. Volunteers also hauled away several dump trucks of trash as well as a large commercial trash bin. The first TWIST community clean up was held in 2007, and the group each year awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors. For more information, email .
