Old Timers Museum

The Murphys Old Timers Museum will benefit from a concert Sunday at Brice Station Vineyards.

Bill Welles, Jill and the Giants and Plan B will perform beginning at 3 p.m. at the vineyard, 3353 E. Highway 4, 3.6 miles east of Murphys.

In addition to music, the event will include a silent antique auction. Admission includes barbecued hamburgers made from locally raised beef, hot dogs, salads, soda, water and cookies.

Tickets cost $30 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12 and can be purchased at Sustenance Books &, the Old Timers Museum and Next Upscale Resale, all in Murphys.

Proceeds will benefit the museum.

American Legion Post 681 to discuss future

The American Legion Post 681 will meet at noon Tuesday at the American Legion Hall on Manzanita Drive in Twain Harte.

During the meeting, members will discuss the future of the post — whether to continue or disband. Vacant officer positions will also be addressed.

Arts, wine, classic cars offered in Twain Harte

Downtown Twain Harte will be hopping July 22 and 23 as various organizations present the 40th annual Twain Harte Summer Arts and Wines Festival, Wines in the Pines and a Classic Car Show.

The festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days and will include nearly 100 craft and graphic art booths and continuous live entertainment on the streets of Twain Harte. The event is presented by Fire on the Mountain Productions.

Wines in the Pines, presented by the Twain Harte Area Chamber of Commerce, will be held from noon to 4 p.m. July 22 at Meadow Plaza. Cost for tasting is $25 per person and includes a commemorative wine glass. Proceeds benefit chamber activities such as Concerts in the Pines.

A vintage Car Show, sponsored by the Family Barber Shop, will be held both days in the Twain Harte Center parking lot. There is no charge to enter a car in the show.

Aronos plans rummage sale fundraiser

The Aronos Club will hold an indoor rummage sale from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 22 at its clubhouse, 37 Elkin St., in Sonora.

Free coffee and iced tea will be offered during the event.

The Aronos Club is a nonprofit organization that does community outreach in Tuolumne County.

host bunco night

Women Helping Other Women will host a Bunco Ladies Night Out July 21 at the WHOW Center, 11281 Highway 49 in Sonora.

The event will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

A $5 optional buy-in will be offered for a chance to win the pot. The pot will be split 50-50 between WHOW and the winner. A prize will also be awarded for the most losses.

Those attending are asked to bring a finger food to share.

WHOW is open to all women with a desire to connect with other women in the community to build relationships and encourage growth.

‘Giant’ book sale, yard sale set in San Andreas

The San Andreas Library will be the site of a Giant Book and Yard Sale on July 22.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the library, 1299 Gold Hunter Road.

Glenn Bass Run
set Aug. 5

The Sonora Lions Club will present the sixth annual Glenn Bass Run Aug. 5 at Columbia College.

Registration/check-in will begin at 7 a.m. at Carkeet Park, 11600 Columbia College Drive in the Sonora area. A one-mile run will begin at 8 a.m., and a 5K at 8:30 a.m.

The one-mile run is stroller friendly. Dogs are not allowed.

Pre-registration costs $20 for the 5K, $10 for the one-mile and $45 for a family pack of three or more, either race. Cost will be $25, $15 and $55 respectively on race day.
