The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

6:31 a.m., animal complaints — A white male husky ran through a grocery store then outside on Stockton Road.

8:19 a.m., lost, found property — A Saratoga Road resident found an iPod, iPhone, a jewelry box and cash blowing around in his yard.

12:54 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A man attempted to enter a gas station store on Stockton Road without a shirt on, and when the owner said he could not come in, the man threw a bottle at the door and cursed.

3:05 p.m., hazardous situation — A big rig broke down in the middle of South Washington Street and backed up traffic.

9:21 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman with purple hair holding a pill bottle appeared to be nodding off while standing next to a vehicle parked at a Mono Way fast food restaurant.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

3:47 a.m., Sonora — A person on Mono Way said a group of homeless people made a lot of noise behind a business.

11:39 a.m., Jamestown — A Jacksonville Road resident said her neighbor threatened to snap the necks of her pets and throw them back onto her property.

3:33 p.m., Twain Harte — A battery was stolen after battery cables were cut out of a vehicle parked on Middle Camp Sugarpine Road.

6:26 p.m., Sonora — A Creekside Drive resident said a man came to her door and persistently tried to sell her steaks, and when he finally left he did not appear to stop at her neighbor’s house.

10:42 p.m., Tuolumne — A Ruby Road resident said they had an ongoing problem with someone playing an electric guitar for hours.

MONDAY

8:41 p.m., Sonora — Paul James Van Gorder, 32, of the 13800 block of Big Hill Road, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence and additional misdemeanor charges driving with a license suspended for DUI with priors following an arrest at his home.

8:18 p.m., Sonora — Stephen Ray Schulz, 36, of the 19900 block of Inks Drive, Tuolumne, was booked on suspicion of felony driving under the influence with death or bodily injury following an arrest on Big Hill Road.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

9:10 a.m., Valley Springs — Someone believed a white RV on Pine Street was suspicious.

11:10 a.m., Valley Springs — People argued outside a fast food restaurant on Highway 12.

12:33 p.m., Valley Springs — A man carrying a weed whacker walked down Vista Del Lago Drive.

4:41 p.m., Murphys — A false alarm sounded at a Pennsylvania Gulch Road school.

11:12 p.m., San Andreas — A driver on Highway 12 was issued a citation for failing to yield.

6:19 p.m., Copperopolis — Jacob Edward James Rainey, 27, of the 3700 block of Signal Hill Trail, Valley Springs, was booked following an arrest on O’Byrnes Ferry Road.

4:29 p.m., Valley Springs — David Pinkney Sayle IV, 34, of the 300 block of Sequoia Avenue, was booked on suspicion of evading a peace officer with a disregard for safety, possession of a controlled substance for sale, transportation of a controlled substance and misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and hit and run with property damage following an arrest on Hogan Dam Road.
