The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY
1:15 p.m., animal complaints — A dog was left inside a vehicle in a Mono Way parking lot.

2:36 p.m., animal complaints — Dogs injured a cat in an Oak Street yard.

5:51 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A person in a Sanguinetti Road parking lot was suspicious of a man who appeared to be “nodding off” in a vehicle that was “parked weird,” but an officer determined the man was just resting.

6:42 p.m., reckless driving — A young woman talked on a cell phone with one hand and texted on another cell phone with the other hand while driving down South Washington Street.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

7:56 a.m., Twain Harte — A vehicle appeared to have driven over an embankment on Joaquin Gully Road, but no people were found nearby.

8:08 a.m., Jamestown — A black Toyota Camry with two young girls in the car driving on Highway 108 passed over double-yellow lines.

10:36 a.m., Sonora — Someone shot a hole with a BB gun through a windshield of a vehicle traveling on Highway 49.

6:48 p.m., Soulsbyville — A belligerent woman at a Willow Springs Park Drive property lay on the ground with her car and talked on the phone.

7:19 p.m., Sonora — A man repeatedly walked into an apartment on Chukar Circle.

11:24 p.m., La Grange — A man at a Bonds Flat Road campground heard music and chanting but was afraid of confronting the group.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

9:03 a.m., Arnold — A Meadowview Road resident used a driveway for “overflow” but later relocated the vehicle.

12:20 p.m., Angels Camp — A boat near Whittle Road hit a rock wall at New Melones Reservoir and began to take on water.

2:16 p.m., Copperopolis — An alarm sounded at a Salmon Court residence.

12:33 a.m., Angels Camp — William Thomas Roraback, 40, of the 1500 block of Meadowview Road, Arnold, was booked on suspicion of first degree burglary, inflicting corporal injury, assault with a firearm on a person, committing a felony while on bail and misdemeanor charges violating a court order to prevent domestic violence after an arrest on Frogtown Road.

11:35 p.m., Murphys — Ryan J. Utterback, 30, of the first block of Longman Lane, Arnold, was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft, possession of a stolen vehicle and misdemeanor charges vandalism and trespassing after an arrest on Camp 9 Road.

6:11 p.m., Valley Springs — Michael L. Zumkeller, 37, of the 9700 block of Milton Road, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury and false imprisonment after an arrest on the first block of Vista Del Lago West.
