Adventist Health Sonora is in the process of equipping its new diagnostic imaging site in the new Health Pavilion, scheduled to open in the coming months.

X-ray equipment at the Imaging Center on Covey Circle in Sonora is being prepared for relocation to the Health Pavilion, and walk-in X-ray services will be temporarily unavailable at the Imaging Center. Limited X-ray services should resume at the Imaging Center in mid-December.

X-ray services will be available as follows:

• Adventist Health Sonora, Main Hospital Campus, 1000 Greenley Road, Sonora, (209) 536-5000, 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily

• Indian Rock Prompt Care, 14540 Mono Way, Sonora, (209) 536-6680, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, X-rays available 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• Angels Camp Prompt Care, 23 N. Main St., Angels Camp, (209) 736-9130, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily

Patients who find it more convenient to have their X-ray on the weekend are encouraged to visit either Prompt Care location for the shortest wait.

Scheduled imaging tests at the Imaging Center, such as CT, MRI and mammogram, are not affected by this transition. Only the X-ray machine is being prepared for the move.

Once open, diagnostic imaging at the Health Pavilion will use several brand new, state-of-the-art pieces of equipment including CT, MRI, and 3-D Mammography machines. Other imaging services that will be provided at the Health Pavilion include PET/CT, ultrasound, bone scan and X-ray with fluoroscopy capabilities.
