Sonora Sears still sells Whirlpool appliances

The Sears Holdings Corp. announced recently that it will no longer sell Whirlpool appliances, but the end of that relationship does not apply to Sonora’s Sears Hometown Store.

Owner Karen Faught said the Sears “hometown” stores are a separate corporation.

“We have our own sourcing contracts with our suppliers, so we are still selling Whirlpool, Maytag and KitchenAid,” Faught said.

Sonora’s Sears Hometown Store is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays.

The stores are at 14691 Mono Way in East Sonora.
