ACBA mixer set
for Sept. 13

The Angels Camp Business Association will hold its quarterly mixer Spet. 13 at Camps Restaurant in Angels Camp.

The event will celebrate the grand opening of the patio at Camps and will feature wood-fired pizza, bocce ball and wine tasting hosted by Mineral Wines.

A $5 donation is suggested.

Community potluck
set in Twain Harte

The Twain Harte Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a Neighborhood Potluck in the Pines on Saturday at Eproson Park.

The event will start at 3:30 p.m. for potluck set-up, and Stompbox will perform live music from 4 to 6 p.m.

Plates, napkins, utensils, iced tea and water will be provided. Those whose last names begin with A-M should bring a salad to share; names beginning with N-Z, should bring dessert to share.

Mixer set at
new THCSD offices

A Twain Harte Area Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours Mixer on Sept. 12 will kick off with a ribbon-cutting at the new offices of the Twain Harte Community Service District.

The event will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the office, 22912 Vantage Point Road, off Twain Harte Drive.

Beverages and light snacks will be provided by the chamber and its Board of Directors. Businesses are encouraged to bring raffle prizes to showcase their services. WHOW to hold inaugural soiree

WHOW will hold its first ever Soiree, an “Elegant Evening Celebrating Women,” Sept. 15 in East Sonora.

Joie Gharrity, a former Hollywood brand specialist, will discuss ways from women to “stand in your unique spotlight,” stated a press release. In addition, eight women will be chosen for makeovers including outfit, hair style, makeup and nails donated by local businesses. Recipients will receive a free ticket to the event.

The event also will feature a catered dinner and local wines.

Cost is $40 per person, and proceeds will be used to support WHOW (Women Helping Other Women), which offers a monthly ladies night out, training, inspiration and support to help women achieve their dreams.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. at the Best Western Sonora Oaks’ Oak Glen Room on Hess Avenue.
