Passes as of 8 a.m. today: Sonora Pass (Highway 108) is closed at Kennedy Meadows. Tioga Pass (Highway 120) is closed at Crane Flat. Ebbetts Pass (Highway 4) is open.

Call Caltrans at 800-427-7623 for highway updates and current chain restrictions.

Carry tire chains, blankets and extra water and food when traveling in the high country.
