Bears’ JV girls basketball scoots by Amador


Summerville’s junior varsity girls basketball team (3-2) roared past Amador 50-24 this week. The league win comes courtesy of strong defensive play, said coach Darcy Wingo.

Makila Leveroos who had three blocks, Aubrey McNamara with three steals, and Kiara Coleman with nine rebounds.

The leading scorers were Amarys Machado with 15 points and Mikaila Kronhom and MacKenzie Skinner who each had 11.

Next up for the Bears is Calaveras at home Tuesday, Jan. 23 and Argonaut at home Friday, Jan. 27.

Both games begin at 6 p.m.
