Solid. That’s how the Summerville Bears played on their way to their first league win of the season said coach Ricky Pinocchio.

Through eight and a half innings the score was tied at 4.

In the bottom of the eighth Summerville’s Luke Fulkerson doubled on a line drive to left field. Linden walked Kyle Norton. Next up was Octavian Hernandez who singled to load the bases.

Marcus Warnock finished the job with a walk-off single scoring Fulkerson and giving the Bears the win.

Warnock had three RBIs and Hernandez went to for four with two RBIs.

Jordy Craddock and Paul Bruce each added two hits for the BEars.

The Bears had a productive sixth inning with four runs and a 4-3 lead.

Linden rallied with one run in the seventh.

Kyle Norton pitched seven innings and had three strikeouts.

Fulkerson pitched a scoreless eighth th to keep the game tied and give us the chance to win the game in the eighth, said Pinocchio.

Next up for the Bears is a home league game tonight against Calaveras. First pitch is at 3:30 p.m. They’re at home again Tuesday against Argonaut at 3:30 p.m.
