The Calaveras High School wrestling team was on the road after Christmas to compete in the 2017 Sierra Nevada Classic at the Reno Livestock Events Center.
More than 80 high schools from around the country particpated in the annual event.
Calaveras placed 32 in the team scoring with 69.5 points.
Here’s how individual wrestlers finished in their weight classes:
106 - Tyler Ferrante (3-2), 9 points.
113 - Phoenix Nguyen (0-2) ,0 points.
145 - Josue Moreno (3-2), 9 points.
152 - Zack Oberle (1-2), 4 points.
160 - Donivan Giangregorio (2-2), 6.5 points.
170 - William Vernon (1-2), 3
