Adin Dibble collected another running championship Saturday. The 13-year old ran to victory in the Old Mill Run 10k, beating 25 other runners. Overall, about 70 runners combined competed in the 10k, 1-mile and 2-mile runs. Dibble this year has won the Ed Friel Memorial Copper Run, the Orient Express, Jamestown Run and now has bragging rights in Columbia. Dibble finished in 38 minutes, 16.2 seconds, almost two minutes ahead of second-place finisher Dale Evans. Jill Jodie was the fastest female and finished eighth overall in 55:47. Seven year old Juliana Palazzolo won the 1-mile race and Jack Birtwhistle, 13, claimed the 2-miler. The run benefits the Tuolumne Community Christmas Eve Dinner. Sonora Sunrise Rotary club provided timing for the event and the ham radio club volunteered to direct runners at the turns. Columbia Kates Tea House donated scones to the runners. McDonald’s in Angels Camp donated 10 pots of coffee. Ironstone Vineyards donated wine for the winners and Class 5 donated a gift card to a winning runner.
