Swimming

Chilly conquest

Union Democrat staff

Thirty-five Tuolumne County Aquatic Masters swimmers rang in 2017 with a New Year’s Eve swim. The swimmers, from ages 20 to 83, completed their swim at noon Saturday. Teamwork was required as each lane worked together to design a workout that totaled 2017 yards. High fives and happy New Year was heard as each lane finished the distance. The team was rewarded with a potluck brunch following the swim. TCAM swimmers shiver a little in the cool temperature for the photograph before jumping in the heated, steaming pool at Sonora Sports and Fitness Center.
