Anglers battled high, muddy water and an abundance of partially submerged debris on a dry Saturday during the Sonora Bass Club’s February event at Lake Don Pedro. Twenty-one teams competed and caught 93 fish weighing 197.80 pounds. All fish were released alive. The big fish of the tournament was caught by D.J. Murphy, of Copperopolis, weighing 6.07 pounds. The top five teams were (in order) Josh Parris/Jeremiah Payne with 14.85 pounds, Bob and Cheryl Harskamp with 12.30 pounds, George Broekema/Pat Griswold with 11.79 pounds, Bill and Sue Caldera with 11.56 pounds and Jerry and Patty McGowan with 11.03 pounds.
