Praise to Cal Fire

To the Editor:

This letter is to praise and thank the Tuolumne- Calaveras unit of Cal Fire on the recent control/ training burn on our Wards Ferry Road property.

Starting with preliminary talks to ongoing procedures resulting in reduced devastating fire danger and vastly improved rangeland, every person involved is exceptionally professional and personable. Chiefs and captains take time to introduce each and every person involved and the time to address concerns, questions and probabilities with neighbors.

All intentions, information and progress are communicated to us before any action taken. Their respect of stewardship of the land is outstanding, which is of highest priority for rangeland grazers.

Ranchers and rural dwellers should be extremely thankful we have such well trained and outstanding fire protection in our counties.

This unit of Cal-Fire is highly respectful and concerned of the land, its animal life & its rural inhabitants.

We are looking forward to working with Cal-Fire in the future. They are always welcome on our place!
