Robert Gordon Snodgrass  

July 3, 1930 — Jan. 8, 2018


Robert Gordon Snodgrass, 87, of Jamestown, an active member of local and regional Masonic organizations, passed away in his home on Jan. 8. Born in West Virginia, he grew up in Ohio. In 1952, after serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, followed by service in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and U.S. Naval Air Reserve, Robert married Georgia Merle (Parke) Snodgrass, who passed in 1995. They moved to Tuolumne County in 1987, following his retirement as an aircraft maintenance foreman for United Airlines at SFO. They had one son, Glenn Earl Parke, who died in 2015.

Robert is survived by his three grandchildren, Angie Parke and Michele Parke of Fremont, California, and Ian Parke of Hayward, California.

Robert will be remembered for his love of fly fishing and travel by air and motorhome.
