Edgar Mark Polglase, loving grandfather, great-uncle, soon to be great-grandfather, and step-dad has made his way to heaven to be with his wife on Nov. 15, 2017, at the age of 77. Ed was born Sept. 29,1940, in Oakland, California. He loved being part of the ECV and his happiest times of life were when he served in the United States Air Force and working and visiting Bodie. Ed absolutely loved to watch Nascar, and even got to go to a couple of races.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Annette Polglase, on Feb. 8, 2001.
Ed is survived by his niece, Deborah Polglase Border; great-niece, Jennilee Garcia; great-great-niece, Natalia Garcia; his granddaughter who adored him, Kamie Stelling; his grandsons, Tommy McNamara and John McAdoo; four great-grandchildren, who each got to learn about Bodie and the Air Force from him, Jazmine Mohler, Steven Hix, Tamie Gutierrez, and Joseph Stelling; and two stepchildren, Tami James and Tom McAdoo. Ed also has two future great-grandbabies that he will be watching over as they make their way into this world.
There will be no services per his wishes. Ed’s finally resting place will be at Sunset View Mausoleum in El Cerrito, California, where his parents are buried.
