Letters Sought

The Union Democrat welcomes letters for publication on any subject as long as they are tasteful and responsible, and are signed with the full name of the writer. Please include a phone number and address, for verification purposes only. Letters should not exceed 275 words. Letters that are too long will be returned. Only one letter per person per month will be published. The newspaper reserves the right to edit for brevity, taste and style. Please, no business thank-yous, business endorsements, commercials or poetry. During election seasons, letters from active political candidates are not accepted. Unpublished letters are not returned. We do not publish letters sent to other newspapers.
