The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

9:43 a.m., school assists — A minor left a South Washington Street school without permission.

9:58 a.m., graffiti — Graffiti was on the wall of an old senior lounge on South Stewart Street.

3:03 p.m., liquor violations — A person on North Washington Street saw a group of juveniles passing around a bottle of vodka near her front porch.

5:44 p.m., vandalism, property damage — A man on Lyons-Bald Mountain Road said the emblem on the hood of his car and the diesel raised lettering on the back of his vehicle had been removed.

9:48 p.m., assault — A person on Stockton Road said their 21-year-old son had sustained a black eye after being jumped at a park and the unknown perpetrators stole his hat.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

10:25 a.m., Jamestown — A person at a closed business on the corner of O’Byrnes Ferry Road and Highway 108 requested law enforcement presence while an asbestos inspector was in the area.

10:41 a.m., Columbia — A person on South Airport Road heard neighbors screaming and yelling at each other.

3:31 p.m., Sonora — A person on Algerine Wards Ferry Road said someone stole his construction sign with his company name and number on it.

6:50 p.m., Jamestown — A person’s helmet was stolen from his motorcycle when he went into a Main Street business to eat.

9:03 p.m., Groveland — The daughter of a Pine Mountain Drive resident was concerned for her mother’s safety after she received a text message with a link and pictures from someone claiming to live down the street who wanted to be the mother’s sex partner.

MONDAY

10:39 a.m., Jamestown — Jose Duran, 37, of the 200 block of Johnson Street, Modesto, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108.

7:15 p.m., Sonora — Steven Douglas Smith, 60, transient, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence and misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance after an arrest on the 200 block of Greenley Road.

9:40 a.m., Sonora — Michael Shaun Fuller, 28, of the 300 block of Stockton Road, was booked on suspicion of willful infliction of corporal injury, kidnapping and false imprisonment after an arrest on the 300 block of Stockton Road.

8:47 p.m., Tuolumne — Dustin Mical Benner, 34, of the 18100 block of Bodenhamer Avenue, Tuolumne, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury after an arrest on the 18400 block of Tuolumne Road.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

2:21 a.m., Arnold — Deputies contacted the new owners of a residence on Innsbruk Drive after a person said there were intruders in a vacant house.

6:24 p.m., Angels Camp — Mail on Riata Way was stolen.
