The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:32 a.m., fraudulent activities — A customer attempted to pay for services at a Sanguinetti Road business with a counterfeit bill and, after it was determined to be a novelty item, the customer said he had no intention of defrauding the business.

11:46 a.m., trespass/loiter — A person who claimed to feed cats at an abandoned house on Stockton Road said transients camping in the area were scaring away the cats.

2:36 p.m., parking — A motorhome parked illegally on North Stewart Street caused a traffic hazard.

5:50 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man pushed a cart full of merchandise from a Sanguinetti Road business out of the store.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

10:34 a.m., Sonora — A garage door at a for-sale Lakeside Drive property was smashed and shot with a pellet gun.

11:46 a.m., Columbia — A Four Wheel Drive resident said he was being tracked with a device on his home and, because people were moving stuff around in his house after he leaves, he was tying doors together so no one could come in. The man also claimed to have shot into his roof to get the people living in the attic out. He said they got into the home through secret entrances.

9:21 p.m., Sonora — A person arrived home for the first time since January and found their garage light on.

2:27 p.m., Sonora — Richard Charles Klindies, 42, of the 22300 block of Fortuna Mine Road, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of possession of an assault weapon, possession of a firearm while a felon, possession of ammunition while prohibited, misdemeanor charges wrongful interception of public safety radio communication and possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia after an arrest on Upper Sunset Street.

2:46 p.m., Sonora — Jason Zachery Haddad, 18, of the 11300 block of Racetrack Road, was booked on suspicion of threatening a school employee, battery against a school employee and misdemeanor charges battery of a person on a school property after an arrest at his home.
