The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

8:59 a.m., parking — A vehicle blocked a garbage bin Sanguinetti Road.

10:44 a.m., controlled substances — Someone left a hypodermic needle in a park on South Washington Street.

4:32 p.m., traffic accidents — Drivers exchanged information after one vehicle rear-ended the other on South Washington Street.

6:41 p.m., trespass/loiter — A transient person asked for money from people parked in a Stockton Road.

6:56 p.m., domestic disputes — A man and woman argued and then the woman screamed for help, but an officer was unable to locate anyone in the area.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

8:40 a.m., Sonora — A juvenile walked away from a Village Drive school.

10:35 a.m., Twain Harte — A cat was stuck in a tree on Laramie Lane.

3:59 p.m., Sonora — A person on Phoenix Lake Road loaned his car to someone, but then the person refused to return the car and threatened the person’s family.

4:27 p.m., Jamestown — A person on Rawhide Road saw several suspicious people in the ditch under a bridge carrying something.

5:54 p.m., Groveland — The window to a Sunnyside Way residence was shot out by a bb gun.

6:54 p.m., Tuolumne — A person came to a Birch Street residence, laid down in the driveway and told the owner to “call the cops” before returning to his home and hitting things with a large stick.

6:04 a.m., Tuolumne — Jacob Donald Sabins, 27, of the 16000 block of Hidden Valley Road, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of bringing a controlled substance in jail and misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance and resisting a peace officer following an arrest on Tuolumne Road North.

11:37 p.m., Sonora — Robert Kirk Howard, 50, of Longeway Road, was booked on suspicion of possession of a firearm while a felon and possession of ammunition while prohibited following an arrest on Mechanical Drive.



CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

2:39 a.m., Valley Springs — An unoccupied truck with a trailer was in the middle of Highway 26.

3:47 p.m., Mountain Ranch — A mailbox was broken into on Rimrock Valley Road.

4:02 p.m., Arnold — Three suspicious people left Pine Drive on foot.

6:21 p.m., Valley Springs — A car on Bartelink Drive was hit by eggs and caused paint damage.

10:01 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A person on Highway 49 screamed and yelled.
