CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

7:53 p.m., Wallace — A vehicle was left on the side of Oliveira Court after the owner experienced mechanical problems.

11:18 a.m., Valley Springs — A man went through mailboxes on Huckleberry Lane and left the area on foot.

3:10 p.m., Murphys — Shots were heard in the area of Sunset Height Road.

5:51 p.m., Glencoe — “Lots of gunfire” was heard from a river canyon near Norwich Mine Road.

9:42 p.m., Valley Springs — A deputy checked on an occupied vehicle in a school parking lot on Double Springs Road.

Felony bookings

MONDAY

5:20 a.m., San Andreas — Ricardo Landavazo, 43, of the 17900 block of Pine Bark Drive, was booked on suspicion of failure to appear on a felony charge and misdemeanor charges failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge after an arrest on the 1000 block of Jeff Tuttle Drive.

TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

3:57 p.m., animal complaints — A grey-and-white pit bull loose in a Greenley Road parking lot was picked up by an officer. It was later reunited with its owner.

4:37 p.m., lost, found property — An empty jewelry box was found behind a William Street property.

6:19 p.m., suspicious circumstances — The door to propane tanks on Sanguinetti Road was left unsecured, but an officer determined that no theft or vandalism had occurred.

8:58 p.m., unclassified — Two men on skateboards went in and out of traffic on North Washington Street and then walked in a northbound direction.
