TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

7:30 a.m., hazardous situation — A vehicle on Truckenmiller Road with two flattened tires moved into the road.

10:22 a.m., animal complaints — A young deer found in the back parking lot of a South Washington Street bank was released in a field away from downtown.

3:54 p.m., animal complaints — A black and white dog roamed around Upper Sunset Drive without a leash.

5:51 p.m., suspicious circumstances — An Upper Sunset Drive resident said a person was on her porch looking for a spare key to her home.

8:05 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man rummaged in a trashcan on Yaney Avenue and refused to leave the area.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

3:50 a.m., Columbia — A Four Wheel Drive resident said a neighbor hit her boyfriend in the leg with a baseball bat.

11:05 a.m., Jamestown — A Maple Alley resident heard several shots fired in the area.

1:15 p.m., Tuolumne — A Cedar Street resident sent $7,000 to a Florida address for a bird that she never received.

4:06 p.m., La Grange — An Arbolada Drive resident said her estranged husband was using binoculars to watch her in violation of a restraining order.

9:11 p.m., Sonora — A girl babysitting on Knolls Hill Drive was given marijuana by a man and she returned home intoxicated.

WEDNESDAY

12:51 a.m., Columbia — Johnathen Daniel Rule, 27, transient, was booked after an arrest on Parrotts Ferry Road.

9:14 p.m., Sonora — James Richard VanWinkle, 58, of the 22000 block of Lakeview Drive, Mi-Wuk Village, was booked after an arrest on the 1000 block of Greenley Road.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:08 a.m., Valley Springs — Lights at a Woodpecker Court residence were damaged.

11:41 a.m., Hathaway Pines — Someone made unauthorized usage of an Apple Drive resident’s debit card.

1:11 p.m., Angels Camp — Target shooting was heard on Whittle Road.

10:47 p.m., Copperopolis — A traffic stop was made on O’Byrnes Ferry Road.
