THURSDAY

8:44 a.m., traffic violations — A woman failed to yield for a school bus with its stop sign out in front of a South Washington Street business.

9:40 a.m., school assists — A student at a South Washington Street learning center broke a lock and threatened to slash a person’s tires.

12:27 p.m., animal complaints — A dog on East Pasadena Avenue barked loudly since early in the morning.

7:56 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman shoplifted items from a Mono Way business.

9:26 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A man threw rocks in a Sanguinetti Road parking lot and yelled profanities.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

6:54 a.m., Sonora — A person had someone at a house on Jamestown Road, but the homeowner said they never asked permission.

1:47 p.m., Jamestown — A driver on Highway 108 lost a box of shoes in the road and attempted to pick them up.

6:31 p.m., Sonora — A man on Smokey River Drive was kicked out of his house and asked for gas money, but still didn’t leave the area after getting gas.

8:30 p.m., Sonora — A Coyote Meadow Road resident heard loud screaming, muffled crying, and gunshots from her neighbor’s house.

11:41 p.m., Sonora — A person on Lupine Lane requested a welfare check on a coworker who had not yet shown up for work.

4:32 p.m., Copperopolis — A Quill Road home was burglarized.

7:45 p.m., Mountain Ranch — An arrest was made for a health and safety violation on Washington Street.

9:48 p.m., Murphys — A single shot was heard near Highway 4.
