TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

3:06 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A person on East Hillcrest Drive said people were stealing an alternator from a vehicle.

10:46 a.m., lost, found property — A woman parked in front of a Stockton Road business, left a backpack next to a trash can, then drove away.

3:53 p.m., theft — A person attempted to steal a whole chicken from a Mono Way restaurant but dropped the poultry when an employee gave chase.

3:56 p.m., assault — Women shoved each other in front of a Mono Way business.

5:55 p.m., miscellaneous codes — A South Stewart Street resident accused her neighbor of bringing out home shopping carts and leaving them in the street.

6:15 p.m., unclassified — A South Barretta Street resident said her roommate stole her bottle collection.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

7:53 a.m., Sonora — A man arrived at a Mono Way gym and reeked of marijuana.

9:42 a.m., Groveland — A dead tree blew down during the night and damaged a dog kennel on Nonpareil Way.

1:37 p.m., Tuolumne — A person entered a Tuolumne Road business, entered in a card number, and when the credit card company later denied the charge, the business owner was responsible for the moment.

3:24 p.m., Sonora — A person on Mono Way screamed racial slurs, spit in a woman’s face, and threatened people.

5:09 p.m., Jamestown — A juvenile at a Fifth Avenue school was suspended for giving drugs to another student and later returned to school with an imitation firearm.

8:52 p.m., Sonora — A Grace Way resident was hit and slapped by his wife while he was in bed.

10:04 p.m., Wallace — A person on Camanche Parkway South was arrested on a local warrant.
