The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

8:48 a.m., trespass/loiter — A transient slept next to a Wyckoff Street residence during the night.

10:09 a.m., controlled substances — A person found a used needle on South Stewart Street.

10:40 a.m., theft — Expensive earrings were stolen from the room of a South Stewart Street resident.

11:50 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A transient man with a backpack jumped out into traffic on Stockton Road and a woman almost hit him with her vehicle.

1:55 p.m., reckless driving — Occupants of a vehicle driving on East Lyons Street threw bottles of soda and cups out into the street.

7:54 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — Three women threatened to beat up a juvenile Mono Way fast food business employee when she got off work.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

12:05 a.m., Groveland — A Cherokee Trail resident was concerned that people smoked from a pipe on a nearby deck before coming onto his property and stealing his sheep.

10:20 a.m., Long Barn — A man loitered in a Highway 108 parking lot for about two hours and asked people how far Dodge Ridge was from the area.

1:10 p.m., La Grange — An Avenida Lugo South resident was concerned about a man in an argument who had been on a “rampage.”

3:15 p.m., Jamestown — A man at a Highway 108 gas station was upset that his winning lottery ticket was for a $2 ticket and not for cash.

10:11 p.m., Sonora — Someone banged on the window of a Mormon Creek Road residence and rang the doorbell.

2:50 p.m., Valley Springs — Dogs were on a Hagen Road property.

7:29 p.m., Burson — A person parked trailers on a Burson Road property without permission.

9:40 p.m., Valley Springs — A man ran through a Highway 26 parking lot and waved his arms.

4:53 p.m., Milton — Craig Alexander Martin, 54, of the 4900 block of Lakeview Road, Burson, was booked following an arrest on Milton Road.

6:43 p.m., Copperopolis — Kevin Bradley Scholtka, 31, of the 4500 block of Bayview Drive, was booked following an arrest on O’Byrnes Ferry Road.

3:48 p.m., Vallecito — Jenifer Laurie Bolton, 32, of the 5800 block of Redhill Road, was booked on suspicion of using another’s identification with the intent to defraud and misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia, giving false identification and driving with a suspended license following an arrest near the 3800 block of Carson Street.
