The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

9:33 a.m., animal complaints — A sick calico kitten was in the backyard of a Southgate Drive residence.

9:52 a.m., suspicious circumstances — Large bolts spread around a Sanguinetti Road parking lot caused several flat tires.

6:04 p.m., weapons violations — A man carried a knife and milk outside of a South Washington Street business.

7:59 p.m., driving under the influence — An under-the-influence driver swerved on South Washington Street and almost hit pedestrians.

11:16 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man yelled and whistled at people in front of a South Stewart Street residence.

SATURDAY

8:04 a.m., threats — A man called a Sanguinetti Road business multiple times and threatened to harm employees.

8:43 a.m., driving under the influence — A man staggered out of a vehicle on South Washington Street and unloaded alcohol bottles.

11:26 a.m., trespass/loiter — A woman cursed and made obscene gestures in front of a South Washington Street business.

1:41 p.m., vandalism, property damage — A woman’s ex-husband was believed to be responsible for popping two of the tires on the woman’s friend’s car.

10:55 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman on Sanguinetti Road believed a child was stuck under a seat in a vehicle but a responding officer determined that was not the case.

SUNDAY

5:30 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man walked through a Sanguinetti Road parking lot and looked into vehicles.

8:27 p.m., any civil problem — A person on Dragoon Circle loaned a vehicle to a friend but reported the vehicle stolen when it wasn’t returned promptly.

8:32 p.m., trespass/loiter — People previously removed from a Sanguinetti Road business returned to the food section of the store.

FRIDAY

6:13 a.m., Sonora — A man and woman attempted to use a fake $100 bill at a Mono Way fast-food restaurant after their credit cards did not go through.

12:28 p.m., Columbia — A person at a Parrotts Ferry Road park said that homeless people were taking over the area because they camped in areas where children played and dried their clothes on a fence.

2:29 p.m., Sonora — A man hung out in front of a Lower Hillview Drive residence and smoked pot.

4:44 p.m., Sonora — A Parkridge Avenue woman said she heard a key jiggling in the door to her house and, when she investigated the noise, found the door open.

8:39 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A Highway 108 resident said a vehicle was mudding and wheeling around his property.

1:12 a.m., Sonora — A Draper Mine Road resident threatened to shoot a man outside of his residence who pounded on his door.

8:44 a.m., Tuolumne — A man pulled a knife on a person on Carter Street, and the victim wanted to “get a baseball bat and smash his skull.”

3:10 p.m., Twain Harte — A person at a motel on Twain Harte Drive said he saw a deputy “beating up a tweaker” and asked if this is what his $40,000 in taxes paid for.

8:50 p.m., Sonora — A group of juveniles played loud music from a truck and smoked a substance while on Moyle Road.

10:07 p.m., Sonora — A Crow Street resident heard strange noises around her apartment.

SUNDAY

5:43 a.m., Sonora — An employee at a Longeway Road business was sent home for showing up to work after drinking, and then the employee made concerning statements on social media.

8:22 a.m., Sonora — A dog on Glenwood Road attacked a neighbor’s dog.

1:14 p.m., Sonora — A man with a reddish beard jumped over a fence onto a Wilcox Ranch Road property.

3:23 p.m., Jamestown — A cow ate moldy hay on a Highway 120 property and nearly died.

10:13 p.m., Sonora — A Kincaid Flat Road resident said someone was attempting to steal her vehicle.

12:46 a.m., Sonora — Theodore John Phelan, 50, of the 20800 block of Lyons Bald Mountain Road, was booked on suspicion of felony driving under the influence with bodily injury after an arrest on Highway 49.

11:41 a.m., Jamestown — Andrew Brian Tuchsen, 34, transient, was booked on suspicion of carrying a concealed dirk or dagger and misdemeanor charges possession of a stun gun and possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia after an arrest on Highway 108.

9:24 p.m., Columbia — Melissa Marie Artzer, 39, of the 14000 block of Grey Fox Road, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury after an arrest on the 22800 block of Broadway Street.

3:47 p.m., Valley Springs — A trailer parked outside of a Nove Way property for more than a month appeared to have been broken into.

9:06 p.m., West Point — Shots was heard in the area of Woodhouse Mine Road.
