The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

8:13 a.m., theft — A person on Sanguinetti Road stole a dog from his friend and the victim wanted to press charges.

8:23 a.m., traffic accidents — A woman in a small white SUV hit another vehicle at the Greenley Road and Mono Way intersection and then drove away.

1:33 p.m., weapons violations — Four shots were heard in the area of Hospital Road but officers were unable to locate the source of the sound.

8:27 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A person on East Hillcrest Drive was concerned about a person with a “master key” who threatened to steal the battery out of his vehicle.

8:54 p.m., hazardous situation — A small rock or mudslide did not cause a hazard near a Stockton Road business.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:29 a.m., Sonora — $8 in quarters and other change was stolen from a vehicle parked on West Walnut Drive.

9:10 a.m., Sonora — A person on Hillsdale Drive wanted information about an erroneous speed limit sign she believed should be removed from a utility pole.

12:10 p.m., Jamestown — Several people protested the unfair treatment of animals on a High Tech Drive ranch.

7:58 p.m., Twain Harte — A Confidence Road residence believed a person that continually rang her doorbell had stolen the gas cap from her Jeep.

8:07 p.m., Sonora — A man stole a jacket and a Christmas tree stand from a Mono Way business.

8:26 p.m., Sonora — Two men and a woman that a Mono Way business employee believed to be homeless refused to leave the restaurant and cussed at employees.

THURSDAY

8:05 a.m., Groveland — A Clements Road resident believed that a person living in her home was planting drugs in the area.

8:31 a.m., La Grange — Three steers and a pig were loose outside of a Merced Falls Road residence.

12:39 p.m., Long Barn — A person attempted to steal copper from a flatbed truck parked on Highway 108 and used a drill on the ignition in an attempt to steal.

2:06 p.m., Jamestown — A Sixth Avenue resident banged pots and pans and played loud music.

9:31 p.m., Twain Harte — A potential drunk driver ran over a curb on Joaquin Gully Road and stumbled into a local business.

9:43 p.m., Jamestown — Dennis Paul Johnson, 53, of the 9900 block of Ernst Road, Coulterville, was booked following an arrest on Old Priest Grade.

2:34 p.m., Groveland — Susan Siegler, 55, of the 700 block of Edgewater Boulevard, Foster City, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence, hit and run with property damage and willful cruelty to a child following an arrest on Highway 120.

2:48 a.m., Jamestown — Tenaya Marie Monk, 31, of the 2000 block of Wylie Drive, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, transporting a controlled substance possession of cocaine base for sale, transporting a narcotic controlled substance, transporting a controlled substance between counties and misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance following an arrest on Chicken Ranch Road.

THURSDAY

1:01 a.m., Sonora — Evan Dale Underwood, 27, of the 20300 block of South Sunshine Road, was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft following an arrest on the 700 block of Mono Way.

8:17 a.m., Railroad Flat — A person violated a restraining order on Garner Road.

11:44 a.m., San Andreas — Tools were believed to be stolen from a Golden Gate Drive property.

12:29 p.m., San Andreas — A phone was stolen from a Marshall Avenue property.

1:36 p.m., Wilseyville — Gunshots were heard on Charles Street.

3:26 p.m., Copperopolis — Things were misplaced inside of a Tomahawk Trail residence.
