TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

1:27 a.m., public intoxication — A possibly intoxicated woman may have hit her head when she fell down in the area of Lower Sunset Drive.

9:34 a.m., hazardous situation — An ice chest with ice and sodas fell off a vehicle in the westbound lane of Mono Way.

11:05 a.m., theft — A purse and diaper bag were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on the side of Mono Way.

11:35 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman threw garbage out of her vehicle in front of a Mono Way business.

12:22 p.m., reckless driving — A person raced up and down Summit Avenue and West Lane on a dirtbike and made loud noises.

1:24 p.m., theft — Two juveniles stole alcohol from a Stockton Road business, but were quickly identified and the alcohol was returned.

2:08 p.m., controlled substances — A man with a Chihuahua walked up to people on Woods Creek Drive and asked if they wanted drugs, but when he was contacted by officers, only a small amount was located and none was packaged for sale.

4:37 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Three men fought with knives and sticks on Woods Creek Drive, but an officer determined that they were conducting martial arts training.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

1:04 a.m., Sonora — Approximately six people ran around an easement on Lower Hillview Drive and yelled at each other while shining a spotlight.

1:16 a.m., Jamestown — A Wigwam Road resident handcuffed a man he caught trying to steal his tools.

9:10 a.m., Sonora — A South Sunshine Road resident said his daughter saw a van driving down the road that had “free candy” written on the outside.

3:34 p.m., Long Barn — A drunk man emerged from a campground in the area of Fraser Flat Road and accused a person of “running the deer away” before threatening to shoot him.

3:56 p.m., Sonora — A person on Standard Road told a woman who littered to pick up her trash, and then the woman spit on the person and threatened to beat them up.

10:00 p.m., Sonora — A person on “the grade” of Highway 108 hit a bear that was in the westbound right lane.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

12:35 p.m., Sonora — Floyd Lee Crow Jr., 36, of the 21000 block of Shaws Flat Road, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of possession of pepper spray while a felon and misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license after an arrest on the first block of Elm Street.

6:10 p.m., Jamestown — Jeremy Russell Barrineau, 28, of the 16900 block of Chicken Ranch Road, was booked on suspicion of attempting assault with a deadly weapon, threatening crime with the intent to terrorize and misdemeanor charges battery after an arrest at his home.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

4:08 a.m., Arnold — Yelling was heard on Venado Drive regarding a bear in the area.

10:04 a.m., Wilseyville — A Brady Lane resident reported ongoing issues with trespassing.

11:53 a.m., San Andreas — A truck on Highway 49 was required to tie down its load more securely.

1:41 p.m., Arnold — A vehicle was left on side of Fairway Drive for several months.

4:34 p.m., Valley Springs — A juvenile fired a BB gun on Dunn Road.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

10 p.m., Angels Camp — Christopher James Friday, 41, of the 4800 block of Darby Russell Road, Murphys, was booked on suspicion of carrying a loaded firearm with a felony conviction, carrying a loaded firearm known to be stolen, and misdemeanor charges possession of a controlled substance and receiving known stolen property after an arrest on Highway 49.
