The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

9:16 a.m., reckless driving — A vehicle sped and swerved as it turned onto northbound South Washington Street.

1:05 p.m., public intoxication — A woman who may have been intoxicated urinated in a Stockton Road parking lot.

4:06 p.m., unclassified — A person at a Mono Way business said she was having a mental breakdown because a person had been texting her all day and threatening to call the police on her.

11:54 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Several people rummaged through a commercial trash container next to a Morning Star Drive building because they said they were waiting for the DMV to open the next morning.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

6:40 a.m., Jamestown — A lock was cut off a gate on O’Byrnes Ferry Road and both the chain and the lock were stolen.

7:43 a.m., Sonora — A man driving on Fraguero Road saw two men who he did not recognize and believed them to be suspicious characters.

2:58 p.m., Mi Wuk Village — A Wuke Lane property owner rented his house out over the weekend and returned to find items missing and a white powdery substance “all over.”

9:07 p.m., Twain Harte — A man was heard screaming and a woman was heard crying in the area of Middle Camp Road.

10:58 p.m., Sonora — A person on Mono Way claimed someone was threatening him with a knife, but when dispatch asked him further questions he responded with “I don’t know, he’s not that close,” and “I’m asleep, ask him the questions.”

8:38 p.m., Sonora — Clint Ethan Long, 44, of the 22000 block of Phoenix Lake Road, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

12:05 a.m., Murphys — People fought in a Highway 4 driveway.

9:24 a.m., Burson — Post office boxes on Highway 12 were broken into.

1:46 p.m., Burson — A bag of debris was tossed out of a vehicle on Burson Road.

4:27 p.m., Valley Springs — Equipment was stolen from a truck bed on a vehicle parked on Sequoia Avenue.

11:26 p.m., Valley Springs — Unknown people were seen in the area of Sequoia Avenue.
