The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

7:51 a.m., animal complaints — A person was bitten by something on Stockton Road.

12:41 p.m., reckless driving — People went into a South Washington Street bar and left in a vehicle toward an school, but another agency determined that the driver was not under the influence.

2:05 p.m., theft — A woman took more than $1,000 worth of groceries from a Sanguinetti Road business.

2:07 p.m., threats — A South Washington Street resident’s neighbor charged at him and said he was going to kill him.

3:23 p.m., animal complaints — Dogs escaped a Columbia Way property and their owner needed help finding them.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

10:26 a.m., Tuolumne — A person on Hani Drive was under the influence of something and threw things around the residence.

12:41 p.m., Sonora — A Belleview Creek Road resident’s car was broken into and the suspect was using a stolen ATM card and stolen checks.

2:55 p.m., Jamestown — A woman in a Chicken Ranch Road parking lot smoked something out of a glass pipe while in her car, which may have had a bumper sticker that read “RIP.”

3:53 p.m., Jamestown — Someone shot a gun on French Flat Road on Bureau of Land Management property where shooting was restricted.

4:44 p.m., Twain Harte — An Elizabeth Peak Road resident may have mistakenly called 911 and said “hermano loco” before hanging up.

8:38 a.m., West Point — A vehicle on Barney Way was vandalized.

7:49 p.m., Avery — A person on Highway 4 heard someone else throw something.

9:50 p.m., San Andreas — A cell phone was stolen at a Knief Lane property.

2:00 p.m., Valley Springs — Jeremy Donald Sheets, 43, unknown address, was booked on suspicion of violating a protective order, felony probation violation and misdemeanor probation violation after an arrest on the 200 block of Highway 12.

3:10 p.m., Valley Springs — Richard Reed Haight, 45, unknown address, was booked on suspicion of violating the terms of his post-release supervision after an arrest on the 3500 block of Dunn Road.
