TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

2:43 a.m., trespass/loiter — A woman repeatedly filled carts with items at a Sanguinetti Road business then explained she could not pay for them.

9:02 a.m., parking — A vehicle almost caused an accident on Elkin Street, ran a stop sign on South Stewart Street then parked in a no parking area.

9:02 a.m., traffic accidents — Two vehicles were involved in an non-injury accident in front of a Mono Way business.

1:59 p.m., reckless driving — A man sped through a Mono Way parking lot, burned rubber for about 20 seconds, then left.

4:56 p.m., controlled substances — About a half dozen male and female juveniles drank alcohol and smoked a substance in the area of South Forest Road.

9:44 p.m., animal complaints — An injured deer was seen on the side of Shaws Flat Road after being hit by a vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

10:06 a.m., Jamestown — Someone ripped the handle off a back door of a Main Street business, but could not pry the back door open.

10:24 a.m., Mi Wuk Village — A man with a large walking stick sat on a Highway 108 bench and took off his jacket and shoes.

2:25 p.m., Sonora — A bag of trash, rocks and glass was seen at the intersection of Greenley Road and Cabezut Road.

3:18 p.m., Chinese Camp — A sign at a ranch on Highway 49 was vandalized and a fence in the area was damaged.

5:26 p.m., Sonora — A woman returned to her Old Sonora Columbia Road residence to retrieve paperwork, and after investigating screaming in her backyard, she was hit in the face with a flashlight by an unknown person.

8:56 p.m., Twain Harte — The ex-girlfriend of a Sierra Drive resident hit him in the face with an object and chipped his tooth.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

9:40 a.m., Copperopolis — Someone trespassed on a Town Square Road property during the night.

11:09 a.m., West Point — A person in camouflage clothing was seen in bushes on Smitty Lane.

11:28 a.m., West Point — A vehicle with a smashed window was left in a Pine Street driveway.

9:45 p.m., Burson — Shots were heard in the area of Megan Lane.
