The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

4:31 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A man lurked around a Columbia Way apartment complex and was asked to leave the area.

7:44 a.m., lost, found property — Trash and blankets were found in front of a Hospital Way business.

10:56 a.m., animal complaints — A dog on a short chain in front of a Sanguinetti Road business could not reach its food or water.

2:16 p.m., theft — A man and woman stole sandwiches and sunglasses from a Sanguinetti Road store and were later cited for the theft when they were seen by officers wearing the sunglasses and eating the sandwiches.

4:32 p.m., lost, found property — Money was found in a breath mint container on North Washington Street.

6:04 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man who may have been under the influence sat on top of a wall and talked to himself on Mono Way.

6:53 p.m., theft — Thirteen solar panels were stolen from an East Jackson Street backyard.

9:42 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — People yelled profanities during a card game on North Arbona Circle.

12:47 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — A man walked with a gas can and hose on Church Street.

12:16 p.m., San Andreas — A person approached customers outside of a West Saint Charles Street business.

12:49 p.m., Arnold — A park on Blagen Road was vandalized.

8:11 p.m., Wilseyville — A Gold Trail resident was almost the victim of a phone scam.

11:02 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A mountain lion caused a disturbance on Music Gulch Road.

11:45 a.m., San Andreas — Luis Manuel Rivera, 37, of the 400 block of Foothill Court, was booked on suspicion of battery with serious bodily injury, battery of emergency personnel, felony parole violation and misdemeanor charges inflicting corporal injury on a spouse and battery on a person after an arrest at his home.

5 p.m., Copperopolis — Joseph Robert Leonard, 30, of the 3500 block of Signal Hill Trail, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after an arrest on the 2900 block of Quail Hill Road.

5:43 p.m., San Andreas — Brian Michael Lancaster, 41, of the 800 block of Sugar Bush, Murphys, was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft and misdemeanor charges driving with a suspended license after an arrest on the 1000 block of Jeff Tuttle Drive.
