The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

6:53 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A suspicious man approached students at a school campus on Shaws Flat Road.

6:59 a.m., theft — Tools were stolen from a workplace on Old Wards Ferry Road.

2:34 p.m., trespass/loiter — Transients were believed to be under a South Washington Street business, but an officer could not locate them.

8:42 a.m., Jamestown — A Park Avenue driveway was damaged with a 25-foot gouge by a neighbor's RV.

8:45 a.m., Sonora — A bag with syringes and electronics was found on Highway 49.

10:09 a.m., Columbia — A flight bag and some electronic equipment were stolen from an area on Airport Road.

10:29 a.m., Sonora — Someone sent harassing text messages and nude pictures to a Big Hill Road resident.

11:19 a.m., Sonora — A Paseo De Los Portales resident threatened to kill her neighbor’s cats after chickens tore up her yard.

11:41 p.m., Sonora — A man harassed customers at a Mono Way business.

WEDNESDAY

4:43 a.m., Sonora — A 2- to 3-foot sinkhole was discovered on East Meadow Lane.

7:01 a.m., Jamestown — A transient woman walked out a Main Street business with sugar, a bottle of creamer and oatmeal packets.

8:49 a.m., Pinecrest — Jewelry, a watch and a ring were stolen from a Rustic Road property.

12:23 p.m., Twain Harte — A man yelled at ministers in front of a church on Cherokee Drive.

5:16 p.m., Twain Harte — A purse was stolen out of a vehicle parked on Joaquin Gully Road.

7:36 p.m., Jamestown — An 11-month-old boy on Seventh Street may have drank gasoline.

9:34 p.m., Sonora — A man on Radio Lane may have been lighting fireworks.
