The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

2:49 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A man with a large bag appeared to be checking doors to the businesses on Old Wards Ferry Road.

7:41 a.m., unclassified — A person in a South Green Street park left behind a blanket and a pile of cigarettes.

11:31 a.m., trespass/loiter — Transients slept in a tunnel underneath a South Washington Street business.

1:34 p.m., animal complaints — A dog was left unattended in front of a Mono Way store.

2:26 p.m., sexual assault/sexual offenses — A transient man exposed himself in front of a person near a Stockton Road business.

4:06 p.m., any civil problem — A woman used the pool and charged her phone at a South Washington Street hotel where she was not a guest.

7:46 p.m., theft — A man was arrested after stealing batteries and a bottle of vodka from a Stockton Road business.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

2:53 a.m., Tuolumne — Drugs and drug paraphernalia were found at a Tuolumne Road North property.

8:18 a.m., Sonora — Two brown horses were loose on Geraldine Circle.

9:52 a.m., Columbia — A man found a syringe in his Gunsight Road West driveway and believed his neighbor was attempting to frame him for drug use.

12:11 p.m., Jamestown — A dog was locked inside a storage unit at a Victoria Place property.

12:19 p.m., Sonora — A juvenile yelled profanities over a megaphone on Highway 49.

5:08 p.m., Twain Harte — Two drunk people were involved in an argument, and one of the men hit the other person in the face and spit on them.

5:55 p.m., Sonora — A Mount Elizabeth Drive resident heard shots in the area of Dogwood Lake.

6:54 p.m., Twain Harte — A man with sunglasses and wearing a hat waved a flag and yelled expletives at a Middle Camp Road intersection.

11:38 a.m., Sonora — Dustin Ean Hill, 39, transient, was booked on suspicion of possession of a firearm while a felon, possession of ammunition while prohibited, possession of a short-barrelled rifle, possession of a controlled substance for sale, receiving known stolen property and misdemeanor charges possession of burglary tools following an arrest on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

12:30 p.m., Sonora — Jordan Michael Thomas, 33, of the 20200 block of Rough and Ready Trail, was booked on suspicion of receiving known stolen property and misdemeanor charges possession of burglary tools and possession of a controlled substance following an arrest on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

6:29 p.m., Twain Harte — Mitchell Clark Ramsey, 45, was booked on suspicion of willful infliction of corporal injury following an arrest on the 19100 block of Quercus Court.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

10:49 a.m., Arnold — A business was burglarized on Highway 4.

11:00 a.m., Railroad Flat — Propane tanks and piping were stolen from a Tone Trail property.

11:39 a.m., San Andreas — Packages were stolen from a Church Hill Road porch.

8:42 p.m., San Andreas — A person refused to leave a Main Street business.

9:30 p.m., Douglas Flat — A man with a headlight walked with his cow down Main Street.
