The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

MONDAY

10:27 a.m., animal complaints — A dog fought a racoon earlier in the week on June Street and killed it, so it was brought to Tuolumne Animal Control for testing.

1:04 p.m., controlled substances — A person on Woods Creek Drive believed they saw a drug deal at a park.

2:32 p.m., assault — A woman on Dragoon Circle hit a man with her walker, scratched him and threw a jar at him.

2:34 p.m., any civil problem — A basement on Wrights Lane was broken into by a person who was storing items there.

2:45 p.m., reckless driving — A possible DUI driver was followed on Highway 49 after he swerved over the double-yellow lines multiple times and braked at unexpected times.

8:37 p.m., traffic accidents — A vehicle drove down an embankment on Summit Avenue and was unable to be towed during the night.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

3:56 a.m., Groveland — A young woman at a Highway 120 lodge told a person she took two hits of acid and then proceeded to “tear up” the front lobby.

10:21 a.m., Jamestown — A wallet was stolen from a casino on Chicken Ranch Road.

10:28 a.m., La Grange — A person heard shots in the area of Isabel Way and was concerned about fire danger.

10:36 a.m., Sonora — A .45 caliber bullet was found on Alder Lane.

12:54 p.m., Columbia — A small pile of trash was on fire near Airport Road.

1:32 p.m., Sonora — People defecated near a mailbox on Morris Road.

5:06 p.m., Sonora — Someone threw a can at a car driving on Highway 108.

8:14 p.m., Jamestown — A group of juveniles broke glass in the street and harassed other kids in the Preston Lane area.

3:20 a.m., Jamestown — Trevor Anthony Carnell, 26, of the 22200 block of Colorado River Drive, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108.

1:16 a.m., Jamestown — Jeremy Daniel Stritenberger, 41, of the 600 block of Highway 4, Murphys, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale and misdemeanor charges driving with a suspended license after an arrest on the 16900 block of Chicken Ranch Road.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

MONDAY

6:48 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — A vehicle on Highway 49 had flat tires and the owner was in the process of repairing them.

11:52 a.m., Valley Springs — Fuel cans and a tool bag were stolen from a Milton Road property.

5:04 p.m., Vallecito — A vehicle on Parrotts Ferry Road was broken into and backpacks were stolen.

8:29 p.m., Murphys — An unknown person parked a motorcycle by a woman’s car.

11:27 p.m., San Andreas — A man with a sleeping bag caused a disturbance in the Mountain Ranch Road area.
