The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

12:10 p.m., controlled substances — A group of juveniles smoked a substance at a park on Woods Creek Drive.

2:05 p.m., trespass/loiter — A man panhandled in front of a South Washington Street business and refused to leave the area.

4:04 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman screamed “Let me go” behind a South Washington Street business.

7:13 p.m., unclassified — A vehicle was disabled in a turn lane on Mono Way because it ran out of gas.

7:57 p.m., public intoxication — A drunk woman played loud music and yelled at neighbors on Greenley Road.

10:49 p.m., any civil problem — A Fairview Lane resident’s roommate broke a recliner in the apartment and the two argued about it.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

8:58 a.m., Sonora — A red steer escaped from a Rimrock Road property.

10:06 a.m., New Melones — Food items were stolen from an ice chest and box at a New Melones campground.

11:47 a.m., La Grange — A vehicle was broken into on Bonds Flat Road and items not belonging to the victim were left in the back of the truck.

11:52 a.m., Jamestown — A fence being built by a Bench Drive resident was torn down by a neighbor.

7:57 p.m., Soulsbyville — A small bike was found across the street from a Livermore Court resident.
