The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

5:58 a.m., trespass/loiter — A man slept outside of the main entrance to a Sanguinetti Road business in what someone believed was an oversized baby stroller.

11:35 a.m., theft — The cell phone of a South Washington Street business employee was stolen.

12:29 p.m., trespass/loiter — An employee at a South Washington Street inn requested a person be removed from their room after allowing multiple people to enter.

2:03 p.m., burglary — Someone broke into a Elk Drive property overnight and damaged liquor lockers.

4:22 p.m., traffic violations — A pedestrian was almost hit by a vehicle while crossing South Washington Street.

4:53 p.m., controlled substance — A person on Preston Place found drug materials under a couch.

7:32 p.m., public peace, fight, disorderly conduct — A person outside of a Mono Way business cussed and yelled on the phone, but the man denied doing it to an officer and said he was just waiting for his ride.

7:22 a.m., Jamestown — A gate was damaged at a Highway 108 business and items were stolen.

9:42 a.m., Sonora — A small tree fell across a lane on Phoenix Lake Road.

5:27 p.m., Sonora — A man on Gibbs Drive heard a loud explosion and saw a bright flash of light.

6:59 p.m., Sonora — A person on Rockridge Way said he heard what sounded like a dog fighting ring in his neighbor’s garage.

9:08 p.m., Sonora — A person used a drill bit to cut through a lock on Madrone Circle.

11:38 p.m., Jamestown — A man dragged a woman down the road by her jacket on Sixth Avenue.

TUESDAY

11:00 a.m., Sonora — A man on Mono Way behaved in a hostile way and talked to himself.

3:22 p.m., Sonora — A four-wheeled off-road-vehicle was stolen from a residence on Lakeside Drive.

4:14 p.m., Sonora — A driver on Mono Way swerved in the road and did not use his blinker.

7:56 p.m., Jamestown — A person on Peppermint Circle needed medical assistance for abdominal pain, but then decided to transport themselves to the hospital.

11:47 p.m., Tuolumne — A person at a Tuolumne Road North business refused to leave the area and wandered around a parking garage.

11:25 p.m., Sonora — William Clayton Bell, 42, of the first block of James Court, Tracy, was booked after an arrest on Tuolumne Road.

TUESDAY

7:08 p.m., Sonora — Linda Rae Norman, 67, of the 17000 block of East Brookside Drive, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence and additional misdemeanor charges driving with a suspended license and possession of a controlled substance paraphernalia after an arrest on Old Wards Ferry Road.

7:30 p.m., Jamestown — Cynthia Marie Monroe, 48, of the 10700 block of Wigwam Road, was booked after an arrest on Highway 49.

11:39 p.m., Sonora — Julia Ann Brown, 26, of the 300 block of Shepherd Street, was booked after an arrest on Stewart Street.

12:01 a.m., Sonora — Craig Owen Williams, 53, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, threatening crime with the intent to terrorize and attempted arson after an arrest on Highway 108.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

1:42 a.m., Arnold — One person was arrested on a local warrant on Highway 4.

8:30 a.m., Valley Springs — A noise was heard in a Main Street building, and upon investigation, a lockbox in the area appeared to be open.

10:45 a.m., Copperopolis — A stored boat was damaged on Copper Cove Court.

3:52 p.m., Valley Springs — A man walked on Lakeview Circle carrying a duffel bag.

5:41 p.m., Arnold — A suspicious truck was seen at a Longman Avenue residence.
